Ashley Crenshaw Hockaday and Tahlia Crenshaw
Ashley and Tahlia both shared a rich background in cheer and dance. With this experience they started coaching for several recreation teams in the Richmond area, advancing to Cheer Directors for the recreation leagues. After years of experience the two acted on a dream of Ashley's and started a cheer and dance business. With so much hard work, planning and passion Sparklz Cheer and Danz is entering year SEVEN! Sparklz Cheer and Danz has become a place of family and friends where we share success in uplifting our athletes in all spaces. Here is a little more about the Co-Owners below.

Ashley Crenshaw Hockaday was born in Houston, Texas, moving to Richmond at the age of 5 years old. Ashley started cheering for a local recreation team. Once in middle school, Ashley cheered and participated in gymnastics for Moody Middle School. Ashley attended Henrico High School where she was on the sideline and competition cheerleading squads. At Henrico High School, Ashley was also apart of the Center for Arts Dance Program.

Tahlia Crenshaw was born in Houston, Texas until moving to Richmond at the age of 7 years old. Tahlia, too, begin cheering for a recreation team and continued her cheer experience at Moody Middle School. Tahlia continued her passion for cheering by being a member of the Henrico High School cheerleading team. She was apart of the Center for Arts Dance Program at Henrico High School as well.

Coach Kayln trained at Henrico High School's Center for the Arts for 4 years and has been dancing 10 years. Coach Kayln currently attend Old Dominion University studying to become a Recreational Therapist. Coach Kayln is one of our cheerleading coach.

Coach Jaida is a former member of Henrico High School Cheerleading team for 2 years. Coach Jaida was a member of the powerhouse geaux squad cheerleading team for two years. Coach Jaida currently attends Virginia State University and is a member of The Virginia State University Woo Woo cheerleading program. She is currently studying social work with a minor in home front readjustment for the Armed Forces. Coach Jaida serves as one of our cheerleading coaches.

Coach Talia started dancing at the age of 2 in her church dance ministry. She participated in Countrywode Music and Arts program for 8 years learning all forms of dance and had the opportunity to choreographed several pieces. Coach Talia received formal training from the Center for Performing Arts at Henrico High School. During her time there she participated in many dance festivals. Coach Talia took classes at Alvin Ailey School of Dance in New York. As a sophomore in college I was offered a dance instructor position in Norfolk, Va.
